- Flowers:
- Radially symmetric in flat or round umbel-like clusters. 5 sepals. 5 united petals with reflexed lobes. A 5-lobed crown between
petals and the 5 stamen. All peices attached to base of the two ovaries.
- Fruit:
- 2 pods, often joined at tips, filled with seeds attached to silky hairs.
- Leaves:
- Mostly opposite or in whorls.
- Plant:
- Herbs, shrubs or vines with thick milky sap.
